What is The L Card? The L Card is a plastic, credit card sized student discount card that entitles the owner to discounts at over 100 clubs, pubs, restaurants, cafes, entertainment venues and retail stores all over Brisbane and the Gold Coast! How do I use The L Card? Simply show your card when you purchase an item that the deal applies to and the staff at the venue will apply the discount. What do I do if a venue doesn't honour a deal? All participating organisations have been sent information on the card and how it works. Staff of the relevant businesses should also have received a picture of the card and should be aware of the deals that are available. However, if a venue fails to honour a deal, please let us know immediately. Send an email to mail@uqls.com and we will try and resolve the problem as quickly as possible. Also note that all deals are subject to change without notice and conditions may apply. Check this website on a regular basis for updates and changes to existing deals. Who puts together The L Card and where does the money from sales go? The L Card is put together by the UQLS, QUOTALS, GULS and the SLA, the 4 law societies at UQ, QUT, Griffith and Griffith Gold Coast. All 4 societies are non-profit groups and all the proceeds from card sales are spent on members through the various societies functions. I am a venue and would like to offer L Card owners a deal! What do I do? Great! We would love to have more venues offering holders of the card a deal! Send us an e-mail at mail@uqls.com with your venue name and what you would like to offer and we will get back to you! We have the e-mail addresses of every person who owns an L Card! |
